- The _c_x_t_a_s_k command invokes the CXFS Manager window of the CXFS Cluster
- Manager.
-
- The CXFS Manager provides access to the tasks and tasksets that help you
- set up and administer your cluster:
-
- +o _T_a_s_k_s let you set up and monitor individual components of a CXFS
- cluster.
-
- +o _G_u_i_d_e_d _c_o_n_f_i_g_u_r_a_t_i_o_n _t_a_s_k_s_e_t_s consist of a group of tasks collected
- together to accomplish a larger goal. For example, "Set Up a New
- Cluster" steps you through the process for creating a new cluster and
- allows you to launch the necessary individual tasks by simply clicking
- their titles.
-
- Options:
-
- ----llll _u_s_e_r Log in to the server as _u_s_e_r. By default, _c_x_t_a_s_k will attempt
- to log in as rrrrooooooootttt.
-
- ----nnnn No prompting. _c_x_t_a_s_k will attempt to connect without
- prompting for server name or password. By default, or in case
- of connection error, _c_x_t_a_s_k displays a login window with
- fields for server name, username, and password.
-
- ----ssss _s_e_r_v_e_r Remote server on which to run the GUI. By default, the GUI
- will be run on the local node.

- To connect to a server named _c_x_n_o_d_e_1._a_c_m_e._c_o_m, enter the following:
-
- _cccc_xxxx_tttt_aaaa_ssss_kkkk _----_ssss _cccc_xxxx_nnnn_oooo_dddd_eeee_1111_...._aaaa_cccc_mmmm_eeee_...._cccc_oooo_mmmm
-
- You will be prompted for a password.
-
- NNNNOOOOTTTTEEEESSSS
- You can start the GUI by launching either the CXFS Manager or the CXFS
- Cluster View. However, you should always use the Cluster View to see
- your progress and to avoid making changes too quickly. After defining a
- node, you should wait for it to appear in the Cluster View before adding
- another node. After defining a cluster, you should wait for it to appear
- before you add nodes to it. If you make changes too quickly, errors can
- occur.

- You also can open the CXFS Manager window by choosing the "CXFS Manager"
- option on the Options menu in the CXFS Cluster View window. This is the
- preferred method if you will have both the CXFS Manager and the CXFS
- Cluster View windows open at the same time, because it reuses the
- existing Java process to open the second window instead of starting a new
- one, which saves memory usage on the client.
-
- The _s_y_s_a_d_m(1M) system administration daemon is run on the CXFS server.
- This daemon invokes the _r_u_n_p_r_i_v(1M) command, which allows the
- administrator to grant administrative-level privilege to individual users
- for certain commands. When privilege is granted, a user can execute
- _c_x_t_a_s_k; otherwise, _c_x_t_a_s_k can only be executed by rrrrooooooootttt.
